Sarah studied Communications and Political Science at Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington. During her time at university, she took up internships within horticulture, mining, and government, including working with iwi. Combining this with her rural upbringing on orchards and farms, she has developed a strong understanding of the workings of Aotearoa New Zealand’s most economically important industries while maintaining relative objectivity.
Her experience with external affairs has seen her responsible for many publications over the different industries she has been involved in. She understands the importance of stakeholder relationships and is passionate about making positive, sustainable, and realistic changes to achieve optimal and ongoing results.
Sarah also has a strong working understanding of social media, reflected in the social media management roles across her work. Having been brought up in the digital age, she keeps on top of the latest updates, trends, and discussions. She knows the nuances of different platforms and their algorithms, including how to best utilise different social media and the various tools within them.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys listening to her vinyl collection, getting out into nature for some exercise, and being with her dogs.
